MOST UNIQUE FURNITURE STORES IN PHILLY

Among all of the stores that line the streets of Philadelphia, it can be hard to find unique items, let alone ones that fit your style. Putting a bunch of pieces that you love together is an easy way to see what your style or aesthetic is (especially when it comes to designing your home). The inside of your house is just as important as the outside. Personalizing your interior and choosing items you love is what is going to make your house your home. To get you started, here are some of the most unique and stylish design and furniture stores in Center City and Old City.

First stop is Luxe Home Philadelphia located in Center City. This is a high-end, contemporary, and modern furniture store with a designer showcase room spanning 10,000 square feet. Some pieces are even available to rent.

Also in Center City is Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles. For 20 years, they have collected furniture donations from around the city and then put it up for sale at their storefront location. All the proceeds go to the African People’s Education and Defense Fund.

Making our way over to the Old City area is vito italia. This furniture store sells imported Italian furniture that you can customize to fit your home’s aesthetic. It is an appointment-only store, but it offers luxury Italian pieces along with fabrics from designers around Europe.

If you need some vintage pieces in your life, head over to Mode Moderne in Old City. The owners, Michael Glatfelter and Michael Wilson have been running the shop since the seventies. The place is full of 20th-century modern furniture so you are sure to find something great.

When you find the perfect home, or just want to spruce things up, new furniture will get the job done. Hopefully this list of nearby shops helped, but if you want to see more in the Philly area, check out Melissa Romero and Anna Merriman’s article here.
